Lateness
Being punctual for classes is expected, and being early is encouraged. You can come early to warm up before the class starts. However students entering in a class after the first 15 minutes disrupt the class for the other students. Students may not join a class in progress after 15 minutes. Students may not join a class if the first two weeks are missed.
Class Availability
All Group Classes are depending on registration. If you cannot attend a class, we cannot freeze or carry-over missed lessons to another session. Conversely, if we do not get a minimum of 10 participants for an offered class, that class will be cancelled without notice. Please call ahead to confirm the class you want is still running. We will do our best to combine students to ensure classes go ahead.
Instructor Availability
Instructors may not be available due to competition schedules for students or themselves. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the same instructor for the duration of a package. However, we will work hard to ensure that the content of the class is continuous. Specific instructors may not be requested due to private lesson priority.
Statutory Holidays
When a class falls on a statutory holiday, such as Easter Monday or Victoria Day, then the class will not be held. A reduction in fee will be calculated for that session/program, and drop-in classes will not be held, unless otherwise advertised.
Dress Code for Adults
To maintain a professional dance center, certain forms of dress will not be permitted. The following outlines some basic rules:
- Men and boys must wear a shirt with sleeves
- No jeans are permitted
- “Indoor” or dance shoes must be worn. If you have a pair of indoor shoes with a leather sole, that is adequate. Running shoes are difficult to learn to dance in, so they are discouraged. Dance shoes have a suede sole, and are best.
- Ladies and girls must wear appropriate tops – not revealing nor low-cut
- No bare feet, but if you do not have shoes, stocking feet are acceptable.
