July 27 – Social Dance Party & West Coast Swing Workshop with Guest Instructor Maria Ford

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!

Take a West Coast Swing workshop on Saturday, July 27th at Dance With Us Ottawa with Smoothstyle Dance Studio‘s Maria Ford assisted by Vincent Mok. Their lesson and music were a huge hit in April, so we’re bringing them back for more! The dancing party will the following right after.
So whether you beginner, experienced dancer or just a dance lover, come to practice your favorite dances.
7:30 – 8:30 PM – West Coast Swing Workshop. Open to all.
8:30 – 11:00 PM – Mixed social dance party (ballroom, Latin, salsa, west coast and many other styles). No partner needed.
$10 per person at the door (includes lesson and party)

ABOUT MARIA
————————————
Maria Ford is a semi-professional dancer, teacher, and performer who specializes in partnered street dances. She is especially known for West Coast Swing and New York Hustle, in which she actively teaches and competes at the top divisions. She has danced since age four and has taught adults in a variety of settings for two decades. Most recently, she has been competing in the Rising Star routine division with Vincent Mok.

Maria trains regularly in WCS, Hustle, Latin, and Kizomba. She achieved Master’s level certification from the Global Professional Dance Instructors Association (GPDIA), and Level 1 Judging Certification for West Coast Swing also from GPDIA. She gives her time to mentor and train emerging instructors and since 2006 has been instrumental in developing a thriving local WCS dance community in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Dance With Us lessons and parties take place every Saturday and are open to everyone: beginner and advanced dancers, single students, couples, and friends!

You don’t need a partner to attend the parties, lessons or workshops. Everyone is welcome. So whether you beginner, experienced dancer or just a dance lover, come to practice your favorite dances.
